beneath是形容某些东西在什么之下没有距离的如：
theclotheisbeneaththebook.
那块布在书底下。
在这里说明布跟书贴着边不是没有距离的在书底下
theremotecontrolisunderthesofa.
那个遥控器在沙发底下。
在这里遥控器不一定挨着沙发可能是在离沙发有距离的情况下在它的底下
beneath很贴切的说什么东西在什么底下两者是挨着的
但under却不一定在两者都挨着的情况下用
这两个词有时可以互换.但是:
beneath多用来指直接在下面或在里面的事物.例如:
There are a lot of fish beneath the sea.
under则多用来指在下面而不在里面的事物.例如:
The sea-bed is under the sea.
A rug is under the chair.
