According to a recent survey, more and more school students appear to lack self-confidence, which has been the most serious psychological problem among them. The reasons can be listed as follows.
First of all, the narrow range of interpersonal communication is one of the main reasons. Secondly, the high expectation from parents is often said to be another cause. Thirdly, there still exist some improper comparison and evaluation methods in many schools. It’s high time that something were done to prevent and solve the problems . First, to communicate more with others actively is necessary to the establishment of self-confidence. Second, parents should pay more attention to their children’s thoughts and life and not only their study. Last but not least, schools should change the comparison and evaluation methods, because education shouldn’t be judged only by the results of examinations.
In my opinion, all these measures will certainly help students build up their self-confidence as long as they are taken properly.
