The Game的出道经历

最初能够影响The Game的说唱音乐还是2Pac，Notorious B.I.G.这类的帮匪说唱大汉，2001年，The Game决定和过去告别，全力发展说唱事业，几个兄弟也帮他负责叫卖他的唱片小样。受到了Ice Cube，Jay-Z，Snoop Doggy Dogg 等人作品影响之后，日渐成熟的西海岸帮匪说唱者The Game决定到东海岸去寻找机会，最终被Dr. Dre发觉其才，2003年正式签到了Aftermath唱片公司旗下，这里有与他街头命运几乎相同的50 Cent。加盟之后，The Game就开始了他的西海岸说唱专辑的制作，并旁瞎慧与2004年秋天以独立方式发行了一张专辑《Untold Story》，不过，他的首张正式专辑发行时间上却一再推迟，2005年1月18日，The Game的首张个人专辑《The Documentary》终于正式推出，以期重新振作西海岸说唱。
在商业上初获成功的个人处子作《The Documentary》发行还不满两年的时候，美国西海岸新一代说唱狂人The Game带来了他的第二张全新个人专辑《Doctor's Advocate》。在发行第一周内，《The Documentary》的单周销量达到35万8千张，轻松获得本周Billboard 200专辑榜的冠军。虽然这个销量成绩在如今日益萧条的唱片市场中已经可以算得上是非常突出了，但与The Game去年初发行的《The Documentary》相比还真是相差不少。2005年1月，《The Documentary》在上市首周的销量曾神神达到58万7千张。
2007年，《The Documentary》出色的商业成绩使得The Game成了当年美国说唱届表现最为突出的一位新生代的歌手。除了反复拿着自己当年混黑帮，挨枪子的经历显摆之外，The Game的成名还得感谢美国Hip-Hop届一位举足轻重的人物----Dr.Dre，正是Dr.Dre发现了人生经历与50 Cent颇为相似的The Game，并将他带进了美国Hip-Hop圈。今年年初，由于决定了要和以50 Cent为首G-Unit彻底决裂，The Game离开了将他捧红的Aftermath/G-Unit，转投到了Geffen Records的门下，打算走自己的路。虽然与50 Cent的矛盾早已经不可调和，但The Game表示他并没有忘记“恩师”Dr.Dre。早在几个月前，The Game在谈到这张新专辑的时候就说过，这是一张献给Dr.Dre的唱片。
The Game和50 Cent之间的争吵是2006年最引人注目的一幕闹剧，The Game离开了Interscope和G-Unit，进入Geffen门下，开创了自己的Blackwall Street公司，11月，这张《Doctor's Advocate》出炉了。虽然离开了G-Unit，但The Game通过自己第一张专辑《The Documentary》以及数个Mixtape已经积累下了足够的人气和人脉。这张专辑虽然没了Dr.Dre的名字，但整个制作阵容比第一张更奢侈——这张专辑中与他合作的制作阵容与嘉宾阵容都堪称是星光闪耀。Just Blaze，Kanye West，Swizz Beatz以及Scott Storch这四位金牌制作人，再加上近年来一直在窜升的黑眼豆豆（Black Eyed Peas）组合的Will.I. Am，而The Game自己也兼职执行制作。客串演唱的嘉宾也包括有Snoop Dogg，马丽·J·布里奇（Mary J.Blige），纳斯（Nas），Busta Rhymes，Xzibit和劳伦·希尔（Lauren Hill）等美国当今说唱，R&B乐界的多位一线大腕。此外，制作人Kanye West和Will.I. Am也都在本张专辑中助阵演唱。The Game明显做足了准备要证明就算没有50 Cent，他也能行。
细心的歌迷不难运答发现，这张《Doctor's Advocate》的封面与上张《The Documentary》是非常相似的，除了底色之外，两张封面最大的不同之处也只有轮胎的个数了。从这张《Doctor's Advocate》的内容上看，可以说也是与《The Documentary》变化不大。虽然在上张专辑中已经大力标榜了他的“传奇人生”，但本性和50 Cent一样嚣张的The Game这一次仍在乐此不疲的讲着他那个白粉与枪眼交织的故事。 整张专辑的制作实属“商业说唱”中的上乘，The Game在麦克风前的表现也是。专辑第一个亮点是采样Bob Marley的reggae track“One Blood”在专辑出版之前就通过混音带广为流传，并且发展出了20多人版的大混音，但专辑中4分钟的正式版才不会让人厌烦。The Game在歌词里说，“I ain't got beef for Fifty, no beef with Jay”，这是一份迷惑性的属于后辈的谦和，他在这首歌的结尾毫不收敛自己的野心和信心。

歌曲后半段beat突然变换，The Game的说唱让人惊艳，歌词摆明了就是宣称自己已经足够老辣，可以接班了，Dre等一众前辈都可以退休了。

“Scream On Em”里The Game维护了属于自己的西海岸，Swizz Beatz打造的beat虽然嘈杂但并不乱，各种叫嚷和The Game的声线配合得很好。
“Doctor's Advocate”是一首悲伤的beat，The Game的感情真挚地爆发出来，听起来甚至像是带着哭腔，他感谢了Dr.Dre以及曾经帮助过他的人们。不管怎么说与50之间的真真假假，The Game对Dre的尊敬是确切的。

“Ol English”顾名思义，The Game提到了很多以前的事情，自己的、Compton的，Hi-Tek的制作、Dion演唱的副歌，不错。
最后值得一提的就是最后一首歌Just Blaze打造的“Why You Hate The Game”，Marsha Ambrosia的女声演唱作为引领，精细的配器和采样交织出了一首纽约街头诗人Nas也贡献了一个verse，但最牛X的还是The Game在过门那一句“I don't talk about my guns nigga I Just Blaze”！

整张专辑的制作、说唱都属上乘，唯一的硬伤就是The Game那极其狭窄的话题——bandana头巾、Impala轿车、Compton、Bloods和Crips、Dr.Dre、N.W.A.、Eazy-E，他的歌词里出现频率最高的永远是这几个词。如果The Game能够拓宽他的话题并且维持制作团队的水平，相信下一张专辑将会有超出所有人期待的表现。
如果刚刚出道的The Game老拿以前在道儿上混的经历说事是为了配合《The Documentary》的宣传而做秀的话，那么如今这个已经得到了歌迷和评论界承认的The Game就变得变本加厉，更加口无遮拦了。就在这张专辑正式发行前不久，他在接受媒体采访时还在一直攻击着50 Cent。
在将近10年前，The Notorious B.I.G.与Tupac之间的矛盾引发了一场美国东西海岸说唱界的大战，那次血淋淋的悲剧事件让所有人至今仍记忆犹新。而在如今这个商业化日益突出的时代，就连说唱界的所谓“矛盾”与“争斗”也都已经沦为了各自专辑的卖点，不能不说这是这个时代的一种悲哀。
说到The Game就不能不说他的退隐大碟!
在2008年6月The Game推出个人最后一张说唱专辑，名为《L.A.X》。新专辑将是一张概念专辑，整张专辑将覆盖The Game一天的生活，而在结尾处我们会见证到The Game之死（象征他正式退出说唱圈）。同时，The Game也确认Dr.Dre参与到自己专辑的制作，这对The Game和他的歌迷们都是个大好消息。自从The Game和50 Cent/G-Unit产生矛盾开始，Dr.Dre就停止给自己的门徒制作Beat了.年轻的饶舌歌手The Game从2004年出道到今年仅推出过《The Documentary》和《Doctor's Advocate》两张正式专辑，（不计其数的Mixtape当然不能计算在其中)，非常不错的专辑，可以说这张碟就是The Game从小到大的生活写照。喜欢The Game的朋友可以说是不能错过!
