具体情况具体分析，一般有这样几种方法：
1）看不定冠词、定冠词的位置，如果a, the 后面的名词有后置定语，那就是修饰它的。如：
a lot of work to do 许多工作要做
2）看 of, the ....of.. 那么 the 和of 之间的那个名词如果紧跟后置定语，后置定语就是修饰它的。the power of love to support, 这里support修饰的是power.
3）the a, b, and c to do 那么后置定语to do 修饰的是a, b 和c ，因为指的是同一事物。
the teacher, mother and husband to support the family
作为教师、母亲、丈夫多重身份的她支撑这个家
4）the a to do , the b to do and the c to do 那么后置定语分别修饰the a, the b 和the c.
the people to talk to , the man to help and the student to teach，分别是3个人。
